Picking coffee beans
Natalia Zuluaga

Since 1998, El Caney farm has been synonymous with exceptional coffee, thanks to the vision and dedication of Gustavo Zuluaga. Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Belén De Umbría, this farm is part of Colombia’s UNESCO-recognized coffee cultural landscape. Over the years, Gustavo’s daughter, Natalia Zuluaga, has taken the reins, bringing her own passion and innovative techniques to the cultivation process.

Natalia’s commitment to quality and sustainable practices has solidified El Caney’s reputation for producing some of the finest coffee in Colombia. Her expertise and dedication ensure that each harvest reflects the rich tradition and high standards set by her family. Today, El Caney’s coffee continues to be celebrated worldwide, a testament to the Zuluaga family’s enduring legacy and Natalia’s leadership.

Natalia Zuluaga, along with her father Gustavo and her siblings, proudly represents the third and fourth generation of a venerable lineage of coffee growers. Their forebears embarked on a remarkable journey, arriving in this vibrant region from the department of Antioquia at the dawn of the last century. Their collective migration, known as ‘the Antioquia colonization,’ left an indelible mark on the landscape and the cultural fabric of the land.

For over a century, this resilient family has nurtured their deep connection with coffee, tending to the land and the precious coffee cherries it bears. Under Natalia’s leadership, the legacy of generations continues to flourish. Her innovative practices and dedication to quality ensure that each cup of their coffee reflects the rich heritage and unwavering commitment of the Zuluaga family.

In each sip, you can taste the legacy of generations and the enduring spirit of Colombia’s coffee culture. The Zuluaga family’s dedication to their craft is a testament to the rich history and passion that fills every bean.
